[If Minato was planning to do some monster hunting for cash, then it's quite unfortunate for him that there seems to be a lack of them in part of the forest he's wandered into. It's maybe even a little too quiet, like something more powerful may be lurking nearby that's scared off the rest. The source of the aura can be found upstream: a monstrous serpent submerged in the icy water's flow. However, its head is replaced with the upper-half of a slit-mouthed woman positioned beneath the stream's cascade. Whether she's sleeping or meditating, it's hard to say as she lets the water flow from her head and down her bare skin. Thankfully, her extremely long hair makes for great censorship!]
Mitsuru told me you got Koromaru here

[ sha-ming's already in his room by the time he gets in. the door was unlocked, don't question it. ]
Dude. They're making us pay rent now. We're so boned.
[ he is totally going to gloss over all of that insane shit that happened, yep. and the lingering attachment. and the deeply complicated web of feelings. and then he stares, long and hard, before rising to his feet-- ]
...Since when the hell did you have a dog?

(manjiro hasn't been here for a good 10 years, as far as he is concerned, and even when he was, he left this the dojo as is. it's time to come home, but it's going to take him a little while to really settle. with now black hair in a bun, manjiro sits in a yukata by porch of the dojo.
a cigarette burns, and a drag, a release, and he's watching the place before him. he's gonna have a whole lot of work ahead of him.)

[Minato had so quickly risen to one of Akira's favorite people in Aldrip. And literally all he'd done was... Nothing, really. Specifically, he'd left him alone to figure himself out when Akira was too caught in his own head to properly handle being fussed over. So one of Akira's first priorities, once he was settled and had reclaimed Shoyu from Haru's place, was, in fact, Minato.]
[Said priority took a sort of winding path, first to the docks where he spent a solid two hours fishing, then back home, then out to grab some other things, then back home again, and eventually he found himself knocking on the door he knew to be Minato's, the bag over his shoulder containing a square parcel wrapped loosely in some fabric, in lieu of a furoshiki.]
[He looks significantly less weary than he did before he left.]

Junpei told me that his dorm got to stay at a private beach last summer. Is it the same for you?
i give you something normal for once and this is what i get?
maybe i'll give kotone exclusive rock rights from now on. hmph.

(as promised, manjiro shoots minato a text regarding that sword. he wants a smile on the boy's face, a want, a need - for something, anything. it feels good to be a catalyst for it, so, he settles a date first on a bakery. he has four different pastries in front of him, rubbing his hands together...
... while he waits for minato. he's not going to wait to eat. he sucks.)

I guessing that Rolo kid isn't gonna be giving us anything for that dumb project based on that last post of his.
This whole things a pain in the ass.

[ Of course Mitsuru had made tea already, done out of a mixture of having good manners and just because she always did that whenever they'd had a talk back at the dorm. Timelines and places seemed to work so strangely in this place that this Minato here in the now might not even recall her ever doing that. As long as he knew about the important stuff then the redhead didn't mind.
That is precisely what he's coming over to talk about after all.
She's not nervous exactly - that wouldn't be like her, although she definitely feels apprehension at the coming visit. So much had happened, so many questions left unanswered and yet for once she's not even sure she's going to know how or where to begin.
For now, Mitsuru will turn those thoughts around over and over in her mind while she awaits a knock on the door of the senpai's shared house to signify her two guests' arrival. Honestly, it wouldn't be like Minato but this might be the one conversation she wouldn't blame someone too much for avoiding. ]

[ it's been weeks since they've spoken.
sha-ming knocks on his door in the dead of night. it's the only time they're both here; he'll forego sleep if he has to. unfortunately, he fully intends on disrupting minato's all the same.
when minato opens the door, he'll find sha-ming standing awkwardly, not quite sure what to do with his hands. despite being in his sleepwear, he's got his goggles on.
(they give him strength -- he wouldn't be able to do this without them.) ]
...Can we talk?
[ "about what happened?" ]

[Ah. The umbrella.
Sitting neglected in a corner by the door, it had served, at first, to remind Yu --he grimaces at the thought-- of the various glitches he had been subject to. At this point, the reminder has shifted, serving to make sure he doesn't forget to check in on people after everything that's happened. Hence why he's here. Here meaning in front of where Minato is staying, hand raised to knock on the door.
Some people might not want to talk. That...might include Minato. But -- that doesn't mean you don't try.
So, after a moment's pause, he knocks a few times on the door. Here he is, using an umbrella as an excuse for a check-in, because what good protagonist could possibly avoid a sidequest, especially when it could contribute to a social link?]

[ The video opens to Mitama, though just like in her recent post, she's wearing her "Santa disguise". She's here on an important business, after all. ]
Ho, ho, ho! Thank you for joining our Secret Santa event~ It's time to find out what ─ or rather who ─ your assignment as Santa's Little Helper for this year is! Drumroll, please...
[ She makes a pause for a dramatic effect, her hand slipping into a Santa hat she's holding and pulling out a small piece of paper with a name on it. ]
It's none other than... Yu-Yu-Yusuke Urameshi!
Remember, you should present your assignee with a gift of your choice until December 25th! Good luck, and remember: your main task is to spread joy, happiness and the spirit of Christmas cheer!
Miss Santa Coordinator, out!

[ You come to sitting at a school desk.
There's rows of them, most empty by now, but it's easy to guess where this currently is: a typical classroom you would find in any Japanese highschool, but different enough to know this isn't Gekkoukan. Not that there's a lot of time to ponder on it; surrounding your desk are several students all vying for your attention, and though most of your supposed classmates have already left for the day, those who remain are still chatty enough to liven up the room. ]
Hey, you heard already, right?! [ One says, leaning upon the desk to look at you.
Before you—or anyone else for that matter—can answer, another student follows up: ] Oh, yeah! Looks like you managed to pull it off again!
[ Meanwhile, while this is all going on, one student—a girl—leans against the wall across the room, arms folded over her chest. Given the exasperated air about her, she doesn't seem terribly impressed by what she's seeing. ]

[You wake up in a courtroom. You’re not really sure how you got here, just that you’re here. There’s Jerry, sitting at the judges box. For some he might be new, and others he might be familiar or semi-familiar. He scrutinizes you, and then motions to the jury box. There’s a plaque that’s sitting on the outside that says “Council”, but there’s no one sitting there. Everything looks clean and maintained, but there’s no one in the courtroom but you and Jerry.
Weird.]
You are charged with apathy towards murder.
[There’s something about his expression that makes you think that he might’ve already made up his mind…]
The Council has found you Guilty of this. In order to repent and further your rehabilitation, you have been tasked to show remorse for your crime by investing on the Chosen that he encounters through actions and words. If there is no action taken, there will be consequences.
[You wake up back in your bed. You remember everything – Jerry, the jury box, the words he spoke to you. Maybe you remember the words he spoke more vividly than anything else.
However you decide to proceed… there will be consequences.]
[ooc: you have until March 9th to submit your Sentencing HERE Even if your character doesn’t proceed with the Sentencing, you must comment on the NPC inbox for your penalty.
Also, there are effects for ignoring this Sentencing. The longer that it takes for Minato to complete his Sentencing, the more volatile he may become. He may take negative emotions out on the people around him, even. If you have any questions about Sentencing, please direct it to the Mod Contact post.]

Morning, Minato!!
[Look out! Weaving in amongst the sheep is one Kotone Shiomi, dressed in her usual overalls for tending to the farm animals. The plants, she doesn't really care about, but the animals? When Astralin had been here, he'd been the first person to really offer her a home. She owes it to his memory to keep taking care of them animals.
Besides -- they're cute!
Anyway, hopefully her bright greeting is enough to warn him, because next thing, she's all but tackling him from behind. Hey buddy!]
